We believe our rates to be very competitive compared to print ads in magazines and other forms of standard advertising within the carving industry. ADVERTISING OPTIONS:

We currently have three options for advertisers:

The first option is a flat rate per month for insertion into our standard ad rotation. This means that your ad will randomly appear on any of the web pages at decoycarvingforum.com. This is a low-priced option that is a quick way to get the word out about your product or service. There is no guarantee of the number of people that will see it, but your ad will have just as much chance as any other advertiser in our standard rotation. You can place up to 3 banners that will be randomly chosen when a viewer sees your ad. Upon the subscribers choice, the banner will also be linked to a Website for further information or an Email address. Flat rate advertisers are charged quarterly, every 3 months.

The second option is our premium ad service. For the premium service, your ad will be placed at the highest priority in our banner ad server software. Your ad will be one of the first ones displayed to a viewer on their initial connection to DECOYCARVINGFOURM.COM. We also set your ad to only be displayed once to each user session. This gets you the most for your money in terms of how many people will see your ad and is one of the greatest advantages of the premium service over our standard rotation. Only other premium advertisers will have the same priority as your ads. Standard rotation ads will be shown only after viewers have seen the premium ads. Premium advertisers will be able to place up to 5 banners that will be randomly chosen when a viewer sees your ad.

The third option is to donate product(s) in return for a full install and review article on the product. This is an excellent way to get the word out to www.decoycarvingforum.com users about a new product or service. We can work with you on the exact terms of product reviews (depending on the retail price and such) on a case by case basis. Please contact us if you are interested in something like this. One popular option is to send us a product for an install and review article. In return, our users get to find out everything about the product and you receive the exposure from that review. At the same time, we can run a special banner ad campaign for you as part of the deal. You will get maximum exposure for your product or service for a very low out-of-pocket cost!
Please note that the ability to use the third option depends on whether we are interested in testing the product, and this choice is up to the discretion of decoycarvingforum.com.

Setup Services:
DECOYCARVINGFORUM..COM charges a one-time only setup fee to place your ads into our banner server's database. The setup fee is $25 per ad campaign. If you choose to skip a month of advertising, you can reactivate your account later without paying an additional setup fee as long as you don't change anything. The setup fee does NOT include banner or graphic design for your ad campaign. You may also privide a banner at no additional cost. Graphic and Banner Services:
DECOYCARVINGFORUM.Com will work with you on designing the banners that will display to our viewers. We currently accept JPG or GIF graphic images ONLY. No rich-text banners will be accepted. If you submit your own banners, they must be in 468x60 format and ready to be used. No fee is charged if you submit your own graphical banners.
If you want DECOYCARVINGFORUM.COM to design and produce your banners, we will do so for a fee of $100/banner. This includes JPG or GIF images only. You may also elect to use animated GIFs. This style must be furnished to our staff.

BANNER PERFORMANCE
Information on the performance of our banner ads
Banner Performance:
All advertisers will want to know how well their banners perform on WWW.DECOYCARVINGFORUM.COM. From March to July of 2003, DCF was able to produce 9.6 Million hits on the site, with an average of 575 views per day for standard rotation banners. That means that out of 400 impressions, on average, one person will click on your banner. We don't currently have premium advertisers, so no performance data is available yet. We expect premium advertisers to have a higher click-through percentage than for standard rotation ads. That gives the opportunity for us to serve the needs of several advertisers each month.
Once the user gets to your site by clicking on your ad, make sure your site is well designed to keep their attention. If the user clicks on the ad, DCF has done our part. Make sure your site presents them with enough information to help make the sale. Make your website work for you!
You should realize that banner performance will drop off after the initial month or two of the ad campaign. To keep response up you should consider updating your ad banners fairly frequently (bimonthly at least). This will present users with "fresh" banners instead of seeing the same one over and over.
If you are just getting started in advertising, you should consider the following to achieve the best bang-for-your-buck. The best option to show your ad to the most number of people is to start with the premium service. It guarantees that your ad will be seen by the largest number of users possible. When the premium service is used up, switch to the lower cost flat rate just to keep users reminded of your product or service. Change your banners at least bimonthly to keep your ad campaign fresh. If you introduce a new product or service, consider another premium campaign to get the word out. Following these steps should produce the maximum amount of exposure possible for your site.
